Staff recommendations:
- Empower Language Academy
Staff recommends that the board take the following actions:
1. Grant the renewal of the charter of Empower Language Academy, for a five-year term beginning July 1, 2027, and ending June 30, 2032.
2. Grant the material revision to add grades 7 and 8 to the charter, beginning with the 2028-29 school year.
- Harriet Tubman Village Charter School
Staff recommends that the board approve the renewal of the charter for Harriet Tubman Village Charter School for a two-year term, beginning July 1, 2027, and ending June 30, 2029.
Staff recommends that the board take the following actions:
- Grant the renewal of the charter of High Tech High for a five-year term beginning July 1, 2027, and ending June 30, 2032.
- Approve a material revision to “merge/consolidate” the following High Tech schools into the High Tech High charter, resulting in a single TK-12 charter petition.
