Retiree Benefits

2027 Open Enrollment Retiree Letter - Status Update 10/06/26:

There is a delay with the production of the letter since essential information has not been provided to the district regarding the replacement of all UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans with two new Humana Medicare Advantage PPO options for 2027.

Per language in all collective bargaining unit agreements, the district is fully insured for medical through the CA Schools VEBA trust.  The trust has elected to make the carrier change to Humana due to an unfavorable renewal from UnitedHealthcare which would have significantly increased monthly Medicare premiums. For 2027, the district will continue to offer the Kaiser Senior Advantage Medicare plan and UnitedHealthcare plans to those retirees and dependents not eligible for Medicare.

Monthly premium rates for 2027 are available now (see rates below).

Please check back for more information. This page will continue to be updated as documents are provided to the district. Thank you for your patience during this delay.
