San Diego Unified School District and City of San Diego Celebrate New Garden at Cherokee Point Elementary School
WHAT: District and city leaders and the Cherokee Point Elementary School community will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony the completion of construction on a brand new campus garden.
WHEN: Friday March 9, 2018 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: Cherokee Point Elementary School, 3735 38th Street, San Diego, CA 92105.

VISUALS: Students will initiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony with a song and ukulele performance. City and district dignitaries will make brief remarks about how the garden enhances city and district sustainability initiatives, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony. To conclude, students will offer a demonstration of gardening activities, including planting and mulching.
